PIPE, TUBE NOTCHING TOOL
Woodward Fab has introduced the model
WFN6 pipe and tube notching tool, which
uses standard hole saw blades to create weld
fit-up saddles in tubing up to 3 in. dia. The
heavy-duty tool, suitable for tube frames,
roll bars, and frame connectors, is constructed from CNC-machined, 3⁄4-in. steel plate for
maximum rigidity.
The spindle is supported by precision
needle bearings to help prolong tool life. The
angle is adjustable from 0 to 90 degrees, and
power is supplied by any 1⁄2-in. hand drill
motor.

AUTOMATIC BAND SAWS
Behringer Saws has
introduced the
HBV automatic
band saws. The
saws are constructed with streamlined, heavy-duty
machine covers for
access to the cast Meehanite® band wheels
and blades.
The saws come equipped with an
extensive array of standard components,
including full safety coverings, a frequen-cy-controlled saw drive, and a chip
conveyor that runs the length of
each machine for chip removal. Standard
equipment also includes hydraulic blade
tensioning and material clamping
systems.
Users can add options to build upon
the base machine, including blade
deflection monitoring systems and linear
laser measuring devices.
Material handling enclosures on
the feed end of the saw and hardened
plastic shields on the front blade side
of the cutting table help reduce noise
and discourage operators from venturing
into the cutting area while still providing
line of sight to the material being cut
and access for cleaning and changing of
saw blades.
