CARBIDE SAWS
Advanced
Machine & Eng.
Co. has introduced
the AMSAW® line
of carbide saws for
cutting ferrous and
nonferrous material, bars or billets, rails, profiles, pipes, and
tubes. According to the company, they can
cut 3.75 times the number of square inches that HSS saws can cut, and.
The compact saws have hardened
spindle gears ground for minimum backlash. A saw blade guide and dampening
device help stabilize the blade for cutting
accuracy. The saw requires no coolant,
and blade changeover takes less than
three minutes.
Options include stock size measuring,
automated length measuring systems, bar
manipulating systems, infeed and outfeed
systems, and stackers.

TUBE END STRIPPER, ROTARY
END FINISHER
The 21CS-DL Coating Stripper from
Wauseon can strip nylon coating from
tube ends up to 3⁄ 8 in. in diameter in prepa-
ration for end forming. The machine also
can provide a clean tube end without
impacting the corrosion-protective barrier
coatings underneath.
BELT, DISK FINISHING

and disk finishing machines
are suitable for
grinding, sanding, polishing,
deburring, and
finishing on
metal and other materials. They have a
capacitor motor that supplies the current
required during start-up and running
under load to support better finished parts
and operator safety. The belt section can
be positioned vertically or horizontally.
The heavy-duty #6Y945 bench model
uses a 2- by 42-in. or 1- by 42-in. abrasive belt and a 6-in. abrasive disk. The
#2PA29 floor model uses a 6- by 48-in.
abrasive belt and a 9-in. abrasive disk.
