Actuators offer lightweight
performance for automotive
resistance spot welding
New ServoWeld® actuators from Tolomatic are designed for light weight. Featuring roller screws designed and manufactured by the company, the actuators
are made for resistance spot welding
applications in the automotive industry.
They deliver 20 million welds or more,
states the manufacturer.
The ServoWeld Advanced (SWA) ac-
tuator is based on the highest-level roller
screw technology available to deliver the
maximum number of welds. The Servo W-
eld Base (SWB) actuator is built on an
alternate roller screw design to provide
long life at a more economical price.
The actuators are in size 3 for light-duty weld schedules and size 4 for
heavier-duty applications. Both sizes
are available in a variety of roller screw
thread pitches and motor voltages, with
multiple options for rod ends, feedback
and connectors, and water cooling.
Welding helmet design
inspired by classic hot rods
Lincoln Electric has in-
troduced the VIKING™
3350 Series, the Hot
Rodders™ concept, in-
spired by classic hot rod
cars. The hand-drawn
artwork’s vibrant color
scheme blends various
welding and hot rod-inspired themes.
The helmet provides optical clarity at
EN379 1/1/1/1 levels with the company’s
4C™ lens technology. The lens provides
real color view; a lightweight, autodark-ening filter; and even shade from any
angle. It is suitable for use in SMAW,
GMAW, and GTAW.
